A Study of Some Recent Work

The following case studies illustrate the type of practical stocktaking support and added value stocktaking services we provide for our clients:

The Original Factory Shop

We started carrying out stocktakes for The Original Factory Shop in 2004. Since then they’ve grown substantially and now have over 180 sites throughout The UK. Also since 2007 we’ve supplied them with barcode scanning hand held terminals and Window CE software used for price checking, label printing and stocktaking.

We also provide telephone support services to the stores for the barcode scanning hand held terminals and software

Yankee Candle

Yankee Candle came to us in 2010 and since then we’ve carried out several stocktaking projects for them throughout their large UK network of standalone stores and concessions.

Our working and reporting methods have been developed and improved helping Yankee Candle to process large amounts of count data easily. This is very important when carrying out large numbers of stocktakes in a short period of time. Recent projects have included 200 - 300 stocktakes completed in less than 3 weeks.

Volkswagen TPS

In 2006, Volkswagen TPS appointed us as their stocktakers. Since then we have successfully audited their stock throughout their UK network of sites. The stocktaking services we have provided include counting stock by item and bin location and producing variance reports with our own system.

Over the years we have become experts in their stock and systems and are always available to help, even at very short notice.

CK Morgan

CK Morgan approached us in autumn 2012. They needed us to carry out 450 stocktakes in their ladies fashion concessions throughout The UK, Republic of Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and The Outer Hebrides.

We were given only 2 weeks lead time and the project had to be finished in 3 weeks. It was completed on time, very successfully.

Our project de-brief highlighted areas we could improve on which would benefit CK Morgan and ourselves. Therefore system developments will shortly be made to further improve efficiency streamlining some of our reporting processes. These improvements will have particular implications for this type of high volume, short timescale project.
