We aim to make stocktakes as painless as possible for our clients - and with this in mind we have invested in the region of a quarter of a million pounds in our stocktaking system DRAMS (Data Recording And Manipulation System).
Abacus Valuers also have an in-house programming facility meaning we can be incredibly flexible and respond to clients’ individual and changing needs very quickly.
DRAMS is a barcode scanning stocktaking system which utilises laptops and hand-held barcode scanners and is very efficient and reliable. All a client has to do is provide us with a product file containing the barcode and description for every item. We then format the file and load this into the DRAMS System.
We can then count the stock, validating every barcode we scan against those in our clients' product file.
At the end of a stocktake, reports and spreadsheets can be created quickly - in the majority of instances our clients are given information on site at the time of the stocktake, rather than having to wait for reports to be prepared in an office elsewhere. This means our clients get top-quality, accurate information, fast, and with little delay.
Updates to the DRAMS system are continually being implemented further to suggestions made by both management and staff. Our stocktake practices are also under constant review, and new technology is incorporated as soon as a need is identified.
Our equipment can also be hired for use by client’s own staff with Abacus Valuers personnel on hand to train, supervise and control.
