Compliance Auditing Expertise
We have considerable compliance auditing experience. Some recent examples include:-
- A full operational policies and procedures review for a major supermarket chain, subsequently publishing a 300-page report for the directors
- A stockloss investigation covering all aspects of a major high street retailer’s operation. (From goods-in at their central warehouse to the point of sale)
- Various picking audits, advising on best practise, improving accuracy, subsequently reducing claims and improving profitability
Our aim is to help make businesses more profitable by identifying areas of loss. These include stock, cash, sales and less direct matters such as trading standards. This enables clients to address issues they weren't previously aware of.
Audits are completed in two ways; on the basis of simply reporting information or Auditors can identify problems and train and assist clients' staff in minimising stock loss and maximising sales.
Confidentiality is of course assured.
Compliance Auditing Services
We offer a comprehensive Retail Compliance Audit service, which can be tailored to meet clients' individual needs and requirements. Recent projects have included:-
- Auditing a client's central distribution self-invoicing system, resulting in a full suppliers accounts reconciliation.
- Checking warehouse pickers for a large wholesaler where high levels of inaccuracy were identified. The client was then able to rectify the situation, once aware of the magnitude of the problem.
The Auditor can remain at arm's length from management and report findings confidentially or alternatively, a more informal approach can result in a combined monitoring and training exercise.
